20 hadiaths from Al-Bukhari and Al-muslim


Some have referred to hadith as "the backbone" of Islamic civilization; for others, the Quran is the only book that comes close to matching the authority of hadith as a source of religious and moral teachings known as Sunnah. (which Muslims hold to be the word of God revealed to Muhammad).

Hadith No. 1

May Allah make his face shine, 

the one who hears something from us and conveys it as he hears it, 

for perhaps the one to whom 

it is conveyed will understand it better than the one who conveyed it.

 


Hadiath No. 2

If people only knew what blessings are in Proclaiming the 'adhan' 

and standing in the first row of the congregational prayers, 

they would race to perform these deeds;

and if they only knew what blessings are in the Fajr and Isha' prayers, 

they would come to them even if they had to crawl (on their knees) .

Hadith No. 3

The Prophet (S.A. W. ) never assaulted 

anyone - neither a woman nor a servant - with his own hands 

except while fighting in the cause of Allah.

Hadith No. 4

When a person dies, his actions come to an end, 

except in respect to 3 things: a continuous charity, 

beneficial knowledge that helps others 

and righteous children who pray for him.

Hadith No.5

The Prophet (S. A. W) Said:

Allah has sent me to complete 

the most virtuous of morals and perfect all good actions.

                 

     

Hadith No. 6

When the last one-third of the night remains, Our Lord, the glorious 

One descends towards the earth and proclaims, 

"Who is there who supplicates to me so that I may grant his supplications? 

Who is there who begs of Me, so that I may grant it to him?

And who is there who seeks My forgiveness, so I may be forgiven him?"

Hadith No. 7

Men marry women for four reasons: their money, their status in society,

their beauty and their religion. 

       If you marry one who is superior in religion, then you will be (happy and successful).

Hadith No. 8


The likeness of the believer who reads the Quran is like a citron (fragrant and sweet ); 

the believer who does not read the Quran is like a date (it has no smell, but is sweet ); 

the hypocrite who reads the Quran is like a fragrant flower ( but tastes bitter) and 

the hypocrite who does not read the Quran is like a colocynth ( bitter apple) 

which has no scent and tastes bitter.

Hadith No. 9

Shield yourself against the fire of Hell, 

even if it be only with half a date( given in alms );
 
and one who cannot afford even that much should at least utter a good word.

The Prophet (S.A.W) prohibited us from drinking in a standing position.

The Prophet (S.A.W) said on the day of judgment, 

the closest people to me will be those who invoked blessings upon me the most
 ( in the world 🌎)

Hadith-16


The signs of hypocrisy are three: when he speaks, 

he lies; when he makes a promise, he breaks it; 

when he is entrusted ( with something), he betrays.

The son of Adam grows old, but two things remain young in him: 
greed for wealth and hope for a longer life.

Hadith No. 18

Gentleness adorns everything and its absence makes everything defective.

Your property is that which you send forward
( spend towards charity ) but that which you hold
back belong to your heirs.

The cleanest food is that Which  a man 
earn by his hands.

A Muslim is a brother of a Muslim.
he should not be wronged, insulted or belittled.

Hadith-22 

Surely God does not consider your figures and wealth. He rather values your hearts and acts.

A believer does not allow himself to be stung twice from one ( and the same) hole.

Hadith No. 24

Entertain no ill will, envy or indifference, nor cut off mutual relations. 
Be servants of Allah and brothers to each other. 
It is not permissible for a Muslim to stay away from (i.e. not talk to ) his ( muslim ) 
brother for more than 3 days.

Abusing a Muslim is a sin and killing him is disbelief.

'Aishah reported: Whenever the Prophet ( S.A. W.) was sick, 
he would recite the verses of Mu'awwadhaayn ( chapters 113 & 114 from the Qur'an ) 
blow on his palms and then rub them all over his body.

Hadith No. 27

No one who enters Paradise would like to return to this world, 
except a martyr even 
if he were given all that the world contains. 
He (the martyr) would desire to return to the world 
and be killed in Allah's because ten more times 
because of the honour that he receives as a martyr.
